Do you know when your hot water heater was installed or replaced last? Typically hot water heaters last between 10 and 15 years. One way to know that your hot water heater is going bad is by seeing rusty looking water when you turn your faucet on. There are other ways as well including a metallic taste coming from your water, muddy or sandy water, no hot water at all, and warm (but not hot) water, just to name a few. If you hear popping or crackling sounds coming from your hot water heater, that too can be a sign. The most obvious sign that you need to replace your hot water heater is if you notice water or a puddle around where your hot water heater is. In this case we ask that you call us immediately as we want to avoid causing any type of flooding. At KMB Plumbing Electrical & HVAC we offer a traditional water heater option as well as a tankless water heater option. Give us a call today to discuss these options further 570-460-0111.
